Who is your fashion inspiration?
I get inspiration from anywhere! I don't really have a certain figure that I like to replicate. But, I do love browsing street style like Jak & Jill and personal style blogs to see what people like to wear.
What is your favourite place to shop?
I love high street brands like Zara and Topshop very much. They bring the latest runway trends into something I can afford. My favourite shop for shoes in Jakarta is On Pedder, which carries lots of international brands like Pierre Hardy, Miu Miu, Marni, Dries van Noten etc.
What is your current favourite fashion trend?
I love lingerie as outerwear trend very much. It's good to see a nice contrast of feminine pieces from the lingerie and masculine pieces like blazers put together into one outfit.
What is the current trend you dislike the most?
I don't think I have any but, I am really not too sure about the clog craze. We once regretted clogs, so why are they coming back? Sure they look gorgeous now, but I think we'll regret them again.
Why did you start your blog?
I started my own blog because I want to keep a record of my daily style and things that inspire me. I've been peeking Style Bubble and Sea of Shoes long before I started my own blog. Then one day it came to me that it'd be cool to have my own blog filled with the things I like. One of the reasons I made the blog is so that I could take a look back and see what things I could improve in my own style. I never knew that a lot of people would actually want to view my looks.
How would you describe your style?
My style is eclectic and mood-based. I don't really have a certain keyword that describes my outfits. Usually I like to mix in feminine and masculine details together. My outfit is never overly feminine nor overly masculine.
What is the one thing you are dying to buy this spring?
Miu Miu satin platforms in navy! I saw them once on the Saks website and I totally fell in love with the shape and colour. They're not out yet in Indonesia, but once they're out I'm going to get my hands on them.
What is the best purchase you have ever made?
The best purchase I've ever made was a Zara beige boyfriend blazer. I can totally wear it with everything in my wardrobe, even with jeans and a t-shirt and I'll look polished right away.
What is the least expensive thing you have bought?
A cheetah oversized silver ring for only 45,000 rupiah (around $4USD) is one of my best bargains. Then, I once bought cheap tank tops at a bazaar for only about $2USD each! I bought about 20 pieces in different hues. Haha.
What is your favourite food/restaurant?
That is tough since I'm a food enthusiast. I pretty much love everything! But, my favourite type of food is Japanese and Italian! Of course, I like authentic Japanese foods not the ones that are piled up with mayo and cheese. As for Italian, I just can't get enough of spaghetti aglio olio (I hope I got that right...) and a nice baked salmon with olives. There's this place in Jakarta called Avorio that serves the best aglio olio and baked salmon in town! My recommended places for Japanese food also differs according to what dish you're looking for. If you like sushi, I like the sushi sets at Azuka, Mariott Hotel. For best value and overall menu, Hozen at the Intercontinental Hotel, and as for the best tempura I like to Sumire at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. I guess that would be helpful for my Indonesian readers.
What is your favourite vacation destination?
I'm very much a city girl, so as long as I can do a lot of shopping then I'm good. Tokyo and Singapore are good places to start. For an overall vacation of shopping, lounging at the beach, and sightseeing, I guess a road trip in Australia would be nice. I love the food in Melbourne very much.
