DIY: Leopard Manicure

Over the weekend I posted about leopard manicures. I said that I wouldn't be able to do it myself but on Sunday I decided to give it a try. I think for a first attempt I did an ok job. The biggest problem I had was I couldn't get my hands to stop shaking while I was painting the black lines. I also do not own any nail art polish and I couldn't find any toothpicks. I improvised by cutting the end off of an incense stick. It might have been a bit too thick to do the job right. I think the photo here is a bit messy and the other hand was even worse. As soon as I took this picture I took out the nail polish remover and took it all off. I think I may attempt it again. If I do I will use a darker base coat and maybe play with colour a bit more.

How To:
Paint a base coat
Dab dots onto nail
Use a toothpick or nail art brush to paint black lines around the dots
Apply topcoat

*There are a million YouTube tutorials showing how to do this. I am NOT an expert. Clearly.

What do you think?

I can't believe you did that yourself - it looks really great! Whenever I try to do stuff like that I have the hand shaking thing but then the real problem happens when I use my left hand to do detail work on my right hand nails (because I'm right handed). So, seriously, kudos to you!
