Name: Kara
City: Toronto, Canada
Occupation: Student

Impossibly difficult to choose one source! I'm inspired by the femininity and strength of old Hollywood stars like Audrey Hepburn and the everyday combinations from street style bloggers around the world. I love to watch old tv shows (like the original Degrassi) and movies for ideas and I take cues from pictures of my mother from the 70s and 80s.
What is your favourite place to shop?
I have to say H&M. It's hard to put together an outfit from my closet without at least one piece from H&M. Because I'm a student and because I like to stay on trend, H&M offers me the best options for my budget. In true Canadian form, I also love Joe Fresh, Winners and Value Village (for secondhand and great vintage finds!)
What is your current favourite fashion trend?
I've never been a huge "accessorizer" when it comes to my outfits but lately I have been adding more jewellery and I now love the statement necklace. I've acquired a few and I find they can make an outfit instantly more feminine and polished. Right now I am also a huge sucker for sheer blouses - oversized and fitted - I find button-ups are always in style.
What is the current trend you dislike the most?
I can't lie...I'm not a huge fan of the 'denim cutoffs with tights' trend. Maybe it's because I know I could never pull off that trend, but it's not an appealing look to me.
Why did you start your blog?
My interest in the fashion blogging community began 2 years ago when I started looking at street style blogs. From there I found more and more blogs and people who devoted time to sharing their personal style with the world and I found it so inspiring. I love planning and styling outfits of my own so after a few months of working up courage I decided to start my own blog and now I am even more grateful for the awesome community of bloggers I've found!

How would you describe your style?
Evolving. I like to challenge myself by always trying new things when it comes to clothes. Although I do follow trends, I never want to be categorized as having a certain type of style. I feel just as comfortable in skinny jeans, Chuck Taylors and a leather jacket as I do in a LBD and a strand of pearls. As long as I'm wearing what I want I'm happy!
What is one thing you are dying to buy this fall?
I've already crossed off a few items on my wishlist so I'll say (dark wash) wide leg jeans! I have been on the eternal search for the perfect pair of wide leg jeans for awhile now and I will find them!
What is the most expensive thing you have bought?
Besides my education?? haha, quite possibly my Jeffrey Campbell Charli clogs I bought this summer! (I guess I'm cheap!)
What is the least expensive thing you have bought?
Fashion wise? Probably very 80s costume jewellery via thrift store shopping!
What is one thing that you regret buying?
Nothing as of late but from my earlier "fashionable" days...anything covered with huge labels! Nothing is less stylish to me than walking around looking like an advertisement...unless it's Chanel of course ;)
If you could meet one person from the fashion industry/ a fashion icon who would it be?
Hands down, Ashley Olsen. I really think she has redefined simplistic chic (in a very luxurious way of course) and I am constantly inspired by her and Mary-Kate.
What is your favourite vacation destination?
Any place by the water. Nothing is more relaxing than a sunny day on the beach and a warm night with the sound of the waves.
