Tod's D-Styling Bauletto Zip Piccolo

This Tod's bag is beautiful. It is simple which makes it a great investment piece because it isn't trendy in any way and it wont be dated. I love the top handles, they are the perfect length for this size of bag while also being dramatic. The shape is also great. It reminds me a little bit of the Louis Vuitton Speedy, which is a shape that I am in love with. The zipper detailing on the side gives the otherwise simple bag a bit of attitude. The colour is a great neutral that will allow you to wear this with pretty much anything. I can't pretend that this bag is in my price range, but if you can afford it this is excellent bag to add to your collection.

Madison Marcus Motivate Jacket

Jackets are a great way to pull together a look, and this white Madison Marcus jacket is perfect for spring. The cropped sleeves allow you to transition from cooler weather to warmer weather. White is also a great colour for spring and summer. I also love the unique cut on the jacket and the fact that it is slightly oversized. This jacket would be great paired with shorts and a tee like in the photo below or with jeans and heels or flats. Jackets are very versatile and allow you to dress up or dress down depending on the occasion. Everyone looks a little more put together with a great jacket.

Chloe Marci Tote

Here is another bag I need to have. The Chloe Marci Tote. I have chosen to show you two different skins. The black is python skin and the brown in leather. The python skin is definitely more luxurious than the leather. I however, love both. The leather is a great everyday option because it could be casual or dressier for work. I love the flap on the front of the bag. It creates a great visual appeal and makes this tote an exciting one. I love the top handles as well. They are the perfect length, and we all know I care a lot about that. The gold hardware pops on both colours but is not overwhelming. Also, it is big enough to carry all my day things, which makes this a winner.

Elizabeth & James Zip Back James Blazer

It is no secret that I love jackets. This Elizabeth & James blazer is perfect for spring. The cropped sleeves are perfect for warm spring days, and the colour is great for adding some colour to your wardrobe. The real star of this jacket is the back though.

I love the zipper back detail of this jacket. It is reminiscent of the button detailing that the brand does on their button down shirts. I think zipper detail is going to be hot this spring and this is a subtle way of incorporating it into your wardrobe. I love the way the jacket is styled in these photos but it would also look great paired with jeans and a t-shirt for a casual look.

Be&D Woodstock Hobo in Rush Sand

I thought that I was over studs, and I kind of am, but I LOVE this bag. The studs are understated and not overwhelming in anyway so I am cool with them. I love the shape of the bag and the length of the handle. I am very partial to hobos with short handles. If there is one thing I don't like it is a hobo with a long handle. There is something about it that just doesn't work for me. The proportions of this bag are perfect. I love the colour too, it is a great colour for spring. Another bag to add to my list of must haves!

Birds Nest Organic Leaf Wrap Ring by Poetic Designs

I love this birds nest ring by Poetic Designs. I love the whimsical feel of the ring. Also, I am a fan of large rings that are unique and stand out and this is definitely a statement piece. I have never seen a ring like this before. I can definitely see myself wearing this and I am sure that it would be noticed. I would probably wear this with a simple top and jeans. I would want the focus to be on the ring so the simpler the clothes the better so the ring can shine.

Botkier Howard St. Satchel

This black cowhide Botkier Howard St. Satchel is gorgeous. I love the shape of the bag and the size is perfect. Big enough for all my crap. Yes, I said crap. I carry around ridiculous things in my bag. If I took the time to clean out and edit what I carried I wouldn't need such a big bag. But, I am lazy, so I need a big bag. I love the zipper detailing that runs down the side of the bag. I love the top handles as well, they are the perfect length for wearing on the shoulder or in the crook of my arm. The extra strap is also pleasing to the eye and practical. This bag is a winner and I want it. I want it now.

Girl of the Blogosphere: Nicole

First Name: Nicole
City: Terrigal, NSW, Australia
Occupation: online vintage store owner

What is your fashion philosophy?
To not dress for anyone but yourself. Once you stop caring about what other people may think, your style and confidence just come naturally.

Who is your fashion inspiration?
I wouldn't say I have one in particular, I am constantly inspired by the everyday girls I see whether it be on the street or online. I admire Japanese street style as it is always so effortlessly chic and perfectly executed, there is absolutely no fear with what they wear and that's hard to come by these days.

What is your favourite place to shop?
Well that's a given, opshops.

Why did you start Gary Pepper Vintage?
I started Gary Pepper because firstly, I am a vintage addict. Secondly, I was hoarding large amounts of vintage clothes that I had never worn but could not leave behind in the store for someone else to buy. It was a little bit selfish, I know. I realised that a lot of people either don't have the time to go opshopping or they don't know what to look for. I wanted to create an easy and memorable shopping experience for everyone and anyone and therefore, Gary Pepper Vintage was born. I knew I was always going to own my own vintage store but I just didn't realise it would happen so quickly!

Why do you love vintage clothes?
I fell in love with vintage clothes because it not only offers a creative outlet to express my personality through fashion but also because it meant you could walk down the street and there wouldn't be a girl ever wearing the same thing as you. Plus, I love vibrant prints and outrageous designs, two things that are impossible to find in stores these days.

Why did you start your blog?
I started my blog purely for self documenting. I wanted to look back in three years time and read what I was doing and what I was thinking. Knowing me I'll probably cringe and say "why did I write that!?" I'm surprised people actually take the time to read it at all so thank you!

What is your current favourite fashion trend?
I adore the tie dyed hair grunge look. If I had any other hair colour I would change mine in an instant. It looks like so much fun!

What is the current trend you dislike the most?
Ah, clogs! I don't care what people say, they didn't work in the 70's and they still don't work now.

How would you describe your style?
One part chic, two parts Japanese school girl.

What is the one thing you are dying to buy this spring?
A trip to New York and a YSL green aventurine stone ring. Amazing.

What is your favourite vacation destination?
Anywhere in the world with the people I love. Right now, take me to the Greek Isles, please.

Bottega Veneta The Knot Clutch

This Bottega Veneta clutch is a lot smaller than the clutches I normally go for. It isn't really big enough for all the things I like to carry. But, this bag is so fantastic that I just couldn't resist sharing it with you. I love the rounded shape, and it would fit perfectly in my hand. The colour is AMAZING. Like candy. I just can't resist bright, exciting colours. I love the woven satin too. It adds a creative flair to the bag and it is afterall what Bottega Veneta is known for. And finally, the knot clasp is beautiful. All in all I would love to have this bag in my hand

Chloe Paraty Python Bag

It seems I like exotic skins. Who knew? This is the latest in a long line of posts about bags made in exotic skins. For some reason I have been gravitating towards bags in exotic skins lately. To me, they seem luxurious and glamorous. And really, they are because they come with an efty price tag. I am loving this Chole Paraty python bag. I love the shape and the way the bag slouches. It is a mix of structure and relaxed python skin. I also love the top handles and the gold hardware, and the additional strap hanging off the side. It gives you two ways to wear the bag and adds a little something extra when you are using the top handles. The star of the bag is the python skin and I love the way it shines and shows of how luxurious this bag is. There is a spot waiting for it in my closet. Sadly, I will be waiting a while.

Frye Veronica Slouch Boot

Well, well, it is about time I did a post on shoes. Or boots in this case. I think my heart really does belong to bags but every girl needs a pair of boots, or three. I love these Frye Veronica Slouch Boots. They are definitely a casual boot, perfect for running around doing errands on a cool day. I love the buckle at the top and on the ankle. I also love the masculine feel of this boot. It gives it a little bit of edge. I would probably wear this with leggings and a long t-shirt for ultimate comfort.

Sang A Pop in Black Python

If I earned a dollar for everytime I said I loved a bag I would be very rich. I'm not kidding. I think we have established the fact that I am a bag girl. There is just something about a beautiful bag that makes my heart race. I feel like I must have it. Luckily for me I am sensible and I don't spend beyond my means. Could you imagine my credit card bill if I did! It would take forever to pay off. So, I will torture myself by once again showing you a beautiful bag that I cannot afford. This is the Sang A Pop in black python. I love the rounded shape of this bag. The short top handles are just the perfect length. The extra handle that causes the sides of the bag to droop adds an interesting element to the bag. Finally, how can you not love the gorgeous python skin. It is incredibly luxurious and i want it!

Thakoon Addition Folded Front Dress

Spring is all about taking off the layers you used during winter to keep you warm and adding some fun to your wardrobe. I'm a big fan of cute dresses that I can wear during the spring and summer months. This Thakoon dress is gorgeous for a warm spring day as well as summer. The folded ruffles around the neck are fresh and the blue and white print is perfect to get you into the spring spirit.

Adriana Castro Annie Clutch

There is nothing that I love more than a great clutch. I love this Adriana Castro Annie Clutch in Python skin. The shape is classic. This is definitely a bag that you will still be able to wear many years from now. An envelope clutch is chic and stylish yet completely timeless. I love the colours too. They are bold and exciting and just enough to make you stand out in a crowd. I have been drooling over Adriana's designs for months. I just can't get enough of her classic and elegant bags and fantastic use of exotic skins. Now if only I could find the money to actually make a purchase.

Girl of the Blogosphere: Margaret

I'm excited to share a new section of the blog called Girls of the Blogosphere. I think it is important to support other bloggers. Also, I wanted to share some of the girls who inspire me through their blogs. I hope you enjoy!

First Name: Margaret
City: Sydney
Occupation: Student

Wearing an Agent99 dress

What is your fashion Philosophy?
To put it simply, Ill say: think ahead. So often I find myself deciding what is aesthetically and characteristically pleasing to me, then seeing it a year later on a New York runway, and suddenly a piece will change from "Hey, that really suits you," to "Oh my god those are so [such and such a designer]" - it's that kind of personal creativity that keeps things snap snap snapping.

Who is your fashion inspiration?
I like to take inspiration in bits from so many different people - so for example, Alexa Chung's legs always look amazing: so I look at her leg wear and shoes. Catherine Baba is another amazing source of inspiration and creativity triggers.

What is your favourite place to shop?
Anywhere, in all seriousness. Before I go looking for something, I always have an idea in my head of exactly what I'm looking for and how it will fit with the rest of my wardrobe...and sadly, I'm the kind of person who won't rest until I get exactly that. There's only been a few times where I've had to go and buy the fabric to make the piece - if you look hard enough, everything is there.

Wearing vintage Cropped and beaten denim Blazer, Lucky 13 One Shouldered Lace Cutout Dress

What is your current favourite fashion trend?
Too many, all of which are being confirmed by NYFW
- black platform leather ankle boots
- draped chiffon and jersey
- oversized clutches
- asymmetry
...to name a few

What is the current trend you dislike the most?
Pointing no fingers, but I do hope nobody starts running around in velvet.

Why did you start your blog?
This time last year, after the Jean Paul Gaultier FW10 show, I was raving about the two tone tights (which I still haven't managed to find - so if anyone knows where I can get some, please let me know) for days on end with nobody to appreciate what I was talking about. I guess that's where the blog stemmed from - sharing what I felt was worth sharing, and having people give me their opinions.

Wearing a vintage cropped top, flee market ring, Bardot tutu skirt

How would you describe your style?
I like to think I'm pretty eclectic with my style - maybe not condensed into each individual outfit, but from day to day I'll vary how I approach pieces without thinking about it too much.

What is one thing you are dying to buy this spring?
Well, here in Australia, we're slowly working into the Autumn/Winter time of year. So all my little inspirations for Winter will be on top of my list.

What is your favourite vacation destination?
A few years ago, I did the equivalent of backpacking around Central America (Costa Rica, Nicaragua), obviously at a much younger age - most amazing experience of my life. If you ever get the chance, GO!

Torn by Ronny Kobo Gabby Dress

A black dress is an essential part of your wardrobe. Every girl needs a black dress. I'm loving this dress by Torn by Ronny Kobo. The dramatic shoulders are amazing. You will definitely stand out in a crowd with his dress on. I love the length of the dress too. Not too short, not too long. I love short dresses because they look so sexy, but a lot of times the dress is so short I can't sit down. If you can't sit there is a problem. I think the length here is perfect. I would probably wear this with simple black pumps. I'm not a fan of the ones in the photo. I think, because the top of the dress is so dramatic a simple heel is better

Micha Design

The brains behind Micha Design is Micha Kuechenhoff. She wasn't always a jewelry designer. A client from her days as a professional organizer was throwing out old jewelry and she decided to play around with it. People loved the necklace she made and she decided not to stop at one. Each piece is hand made and one of a kind. She uses vintage and recycled materials as well as some not so traditional items such as door knockers, brooches and scabble pieces just to name a few. This means that her necklaces are incredibly unique.

Here is the designer wearing a piece from her Feather collection.

Neon collection.

Leather Collection

From the Clusters collection made of recycled silver coloured chains and charms

I love that each piece is unique and one of a kind. The idea that you wont run into anyone with the same necklace makes me love it just that much more. These are definitely statement pieces and I'm sure once you wear one everyone you meet will ask "where did you get your necklace". These pieces are some of my favourites but, each piece is so unique and spectacular I'm not sure how I can choose just one.

Check out Micha's website Micha Design for more pieces.

Diane Von Furstenberg Marco Beaded Jacket

I currently have a thing for jackets. A great jacket can make you look put together and sophisticated, even if you are not really trying. Sometimes, they are also essential depending on the weather. If you have to wear a jacket let's make it a great one. I am so in love with this Diane Von Furstenburg beaded jacket. I love how the colours all work together. It's neutral but it also pops. The proportion is perfect with the bottom hitting just at the hips. I also really like the croppeed sleeve. Perfect for spring. The close up photo shows how detailed the beading is. From far away you can't really tell how much work went into the beading in the jacket. Up close, beautiful! I would probably wear this with jeans, heels and a plain tee-shirt. The star of the show really is the jacket so we have to let it shine.

Rebecca Minkoff 3-Zip Rocker

I love cross body bags. They are so functional for a night out and yet so stylish. I am currently loving this Rebecca Minkoff 3-Zip Rocker. I love the size. It is perfect for my night out essentials. I don't like to take a big bag out to a bar but I need a bag that can carry everything I have. What caught my eye was the zipper detail. The three zippers add a little edge to the bag. With an evening bag you can always use some sparkle or shimmer. The first bag is done in a dark shimmer. How fun is this for a night out. It will make anything you wear pop!

If Shimmer isn't your thing ....
here it is in black...
...and a wine colour.

I love the contrast of the dark leather and the gold zipper and hardware. It definitely catches my eye. How about yours?

Frankie B. Denim

Every girl has that perfect pair of jeans in her closet. The ones she wears over and over again even though she owns more than one pair. That's me! Sometimes I get tired of the same boring blue denim. I need a little excitement in my life and, as you know I am most definitely not afraid of colour. How adorable are these Frankie B. jeans?! This is the Sailor Baby in grass. I would wear these in a heartbeat. I LOVE the colour. I used to say that my favourite colour was green because Elizabeth from Sweet Valley Twins said green was her favourite. Now, I actually do love green! The large buttons on the front definitely add a little sailor attitude to these jeans. I would probably wear them with a plain white tee like my new LNA pocket tee that is on its way to me in the mail. I think white or black would work best because the colour of the denim is a bit loud and you don't want to over do it.

Milly Paisley Embroidered Silk Blouse

When I go on vacation I love to pack dressy pieces for dinner. I do this even if I'm going to a remote island that doesn't even have cars and the only hotel barely has 3 stars. There is just something about being on vacation on a beautiful tropical island that prompts me to bring it up a notch. Now I'm not talking stilettos on the beach because that would be a little ridiculous. I found this Milly Paisley Embroidered Silk Blouse online. I think it's perfect for dinner on the beach. The colour is gorgeous and definitely reminds me of the turquoise waters of the Gili Islands off the coast of Bali. The gold paisley print makes the blouse an excellent choice for a dressier or in my case not so dressy occasion. I would probably wear this with a pair of short denim shorts and my favourite pair of Havaiana Slim flip flips.

Sang A Way

When I said that I was in love with Sang A bags I wasn't kidding. I spend A LOT of time online going gaga over her designs. I especially love this tote. Its the Way bag in black suede and natural cobra. This tote is absolutely gorgeous. I love the mix of suede and cobra skin. It is delightfully unique. The mix of skins really makes it stand out in a sea of totes. Totes are a quite functional silhouette. They are perfect for work because you can carry a lot of things with you. Unfortunately they tend to be a bit boring. Sang A has really mastered the art of creating a functional bag that is completely unique. This bag is anything but boring. LOVE.

Sessun

Spring is just around the corner for most people. Lucky me, I live in a city that has spring all year round. What's better than that? This means that I am always on the lookout for great spring clothes. All year round. Don't hate me ok? While on my hunt for some great new spring pieces I saw this dress from the Sessun spring collection. I love the colour. The light blue is a nice change from the darker colours I have been wearing lately. Perfect for a spring time pick-me-up. I'd probably wear this with leggings and my trusty leather riding boots. But, I love the way that it is styled in this photo with grey booties.

More Boyy Bags To Drool Over

I previously posted about Boyy bags. I told you I was in love. It seems I say this all the time. Maybe I have a problem."Hello my name is Isabel and I'm a Bagaholic. Anyway I am still in love with Boyy bags. To help you fall in love here is a look at some of my favourite bags from past seasons.
The first bag, the Sammy, is much smaller than I usually go for but I love the detailing on the front flap. It also is still big enough for my essentials. Except my umbrella.

The second bag is called the Doy. It's a huge oversized tote. I love the extra pocked on the front. It adds another dimension to the bag. The best part is this bag IS big enough for my umbrella!

The final bag is called Agustus. I love the shape and it's also perfect to hang on my arm. Not too big, not too small. I also love the extra strap hanging over the side. It looks like a chain and well, thats just cool.

Sang A Flash

Sometimes all bags tend to look the same. I find, especially with clutches that a lot of designs lack originality. Then, every once in a while you find a bag that is different from anything you have seen before. The silhouette of the Sang A Flash is unique yet still simple. I also love that it comes in a variety of skins and colours. Leather or croc? Can't decide! Blue, green, purple, gold? Can't decide! How amazing would I look carrying that into a restaurant. I'd be the envy of every girl in the place!

Winter Kate

Nicole Richie is releasing her first line of apparel called Winter Kate this spring. When I heard that she was creating a line of clothes I was excited. Nicole as really stepped it up since her days on The Simple Life. She has quickly become a fashionista to watch. I am loving this leather jacket. It's the Harlow Leather Jacket in Jet. I love that it hits just at the waist and that it has cropped sleeves. And, how hot does Nicole look wearing it!? Who wouldn't want to look like her?! I'm also loving the Opy Jacket. Its whimsical and romantic and I would love to wear it with a plain tee or tank underneath.

Jerome Dreyfuss Billy Bag

I spend a lot of time online reading fashion blogs and searching designers websites for things that I think are unique and must have. Yesterday I was reading this post by Fashion Is A Playground and couldn't help but notice the gorgeous black bag she was carrying. I quickly checked out the designers website. Ahh. So glad I did. Here is the gorgeous Billy bag. I love the slouchy shape and it's big enough to carry all my stuff! I also love the length of the top handles. Perfect for both hanging on my arm or my shoulder. The extra strap hanging adds a little extra detail to the bag. Also, how fun are these colours for spring?! I've got another bag to add to my wish list!
