Parker Sequin Dress

There is something so fun about this sequined dress by Parker. I love that it is multicoloured because it makes the dress extra fun and it is sure to standout. This is definitely a party dress to be worn at night. The dress is quite short but the longer sleeves and the high neckline balance it all out. I always say, you either show leg or your neckline but NOT both. If you do you end up looking like....well you can imagine.

Katherine Kwei Classic Donna Satchel

I love that the internet introduces me to brands I didn't know about. I think it is one of the best parts of blogging and surfing the net. So, when I stumbled upon Katherine Kwei I knew I had to write about one of her bags. I love this Satchel, the knotted detailing is so unique. I have never seen a bag like this before. I love the length of the handle and I think this colour is great for spring and summer. The true star of the bag though is definitely the knotting. I can't stop staring!

LuShae Jewelry Stepping Stones Ring

I am a lover of big rings. I am not sure why. I think I like that people always notice large rings and I think it takes someone with a big personality to wear a big ring. Also with a large ring you don't really need more accessories and your clothing can and should be simple. There is not need to overdo it! This ring by LuShae Jewelry is gorgeous. I love the mix of colours and the pattern of the ring. It really does look like stepping stones. I would love to pair this with a simple black dress so that the ring can really shine.

Alexis Hudson Thandie Clutch

Every girl needs clutches. In my fashion loving opinion, they are essential. I am always on the lookout for unique things and I immediately loved the Alexis Hudson Thandie Clutch in Tar when I saw it. I love the colour of the hardware agains the black leather. I also love the studs and the zipper together. They have mixed two trends and it has worked brilliantly in my opinion. The studs and zipper detailing gives this bag a bit of edge and it could be used for casual or dressy occasions.

Girl of the Blogosphere: Michelle

Name: Michelle
City: Jakarta, Indonesia
Occupation: Student

Who is your fashion inspiration?
I get inspiration from anywhere! I don't really have a certain figure that I like to replicate. But, I do love browsing street style like Jak & Jill and personal style blogs to see what people like to wear.

What is your favourite place to shop?
I love high street brands like Zara and Topshop very much. They bring the latest runway trends into something I can afford. My favourite shop for shoes in Jakarta is On Pedder, which carries lots of international brands like Pierre Hardy, Miu Miu, Marni, Dries van Noten etc.

What is your current favourite fashion trend?
I love lingerie as outerwear trend very much. It's good to see a nice contrast of feminine pieces from the lingerie and masculine pieces like blazers put together into one outfit.

What is the current trend you dislike the most?
I don't think I have any but, I am really not too sure about the clog craze. We once regretted clogs, so why are they coming back? Sure they look gorgeous now, but I think we'll regret them again.

Why did you start your blog?
I started my own blog because I want to keep a record of my daily style and things that inspire me. I've been peeking Style Bubble and Sea of Shoes long before I started my own blog. Then one day it came to me that it'd be cool to have my own blog filled with the things I like. One of the reasons I made the blog is so that I could take a look back and see what things I could improve in my own style. I never knew that a lot of people would actually want to view my looks.

How would you describe your style?
My style is eclectic and mood-based. I don't really have a certain keyword that describes my outfits. Usually I like to mix in feminine and masculine details together. My outfit is never overly feminine nor overly masculine.

What is the one thing you are dying to buy this spring?
Miu Miu satin platforms in navy! I saw them once on the Saks website and I totally fell in love with the shape and colour. They're not out yet in Indonesia, but once they're out I'm going to get my hands on them.

What is the best purchase you have ever made?
The best purchase I've ever made was a Zara beige boyfriend blazer. I can totally wear it with everything in my wardrobe, even with jeans and a t-shirt and I'll look polished right away.

What is the least expensive thing you have bought?
A cheetah oversized silver ring for only 45,000 rupiah (around $4USD) is one of my best bargains. Then, I once bought cheap tank tops at a bazaar for only about $2USD each! I bought about 20 pieces in different hues. Haha.

What is your favourite food/restaurant?
That is tough since I'm a food enthusiast. I pretty much love everything! But, my favourite type of food is Japanese and Italian! Of course, I like authentic Japanese foods not the ones that are piled up with mayo and cheese. As for Italian, I just can't get enough of spaghetti aglio olio (I hope I got that right...) and a nice baked salmon with olives. There's this place in Jakarta called Avorio that serves the best aglio olio and baked salmon in town! My recommended places for Japanese food also differs according to what dish you're looking for. If you like sushi, I like the sushi sets at Azuka, Mariott Hotel. For best value and overall menu, Hozen at the Intercontinental Hotel, and as for the best tempura I like to Sumire at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. I guess that would be helpful for my Indonesian readers.

What is your favourite vacation destination?
I'm very much a city girl, so as long as I can do a lot of shopping then I'm good. Tokyo and Singapore are good places to start. For an overall vacation of shopping, lounging at the beach, and sightseeing, I guess a road trip in Australia would be nice. I love the food in Melbourne very much.

House of Harlow 1960 Peacock Cuff

I am a fan of funky jewelry and House of Harlow 1960 makes a lot of fun pieces. I especially love this peacock cuff. I like that it is eye catching but not in an over the top way. I really like the peacock pieces that the brand makes. When I first started this blog a few months ago I wrote about House of Harlow 1960 and I especially liked a necklace with the same peacock motif. My only beef with the brand is that I think some of the pieces are overpriced. That being said I would love to own more than one. I think this cuff would be great to add some fun to a casual dress or even jeans and a t-shirt.

7 For All Mankind Roxanne Skinny Slimmer Jeans

Am I crazy for liking these jeans? For some reason I love coloured jeans and this gorgeous mint is so bright and fun I just want to swipe my credit card. I won't thought, don't worry. I think they would make the perfect casual spring/summer look. I would wear them with a white tank or tee and a flip flops. Add a necklace or some bangles for a little fun and you are good to go.

Bop Bijoux Open Pyramid Ring

I love this ring from Bop Bijoux. It is totally original and unique. Accessories are a great way to add some interest and fun to your look and this ring will do exactly that. I have never seen a ring quite like this which makes me want it that much more. The only problem is I think it is a bit pricey...its not even silver!

Twinkle by Wenlan Tumultuous Turns In Blue

You know when you see a dress and you fall in love. You tell yourself that you MUST have the dress, but the practical side of you wonders where you will wear it. Sometimes I buy things even though I have no idea where I will wear it. Thankfully my bank account can't handle even the smallest purchase at the moment and I am far too fearful of being in credit card debt until I'm 40. Thanks to two years working in South Korea to pay off student loans and my credit card I know the value of a dollar and I am much to savvy to dig myself into the hole again. That doesn't mean I can't "window shop" or because I now live in South America "browser shop". I saw this dress by Twinkle by Wenlan and I fell in love. I think the print and use of colour is perfect. It is the perfect summer dress for a wedding, cocktail party, and a red carpet appearance....(joking)

Sauce Studded Blazer

So, I have told you all how much I wear jackets and I am always on the look out for something new. I love this studded blazer from Sauce. It is definitely inspired by Chanel, but the studs give it a cool factor. Classic and edgy all at the same time. The price is also much, much more affordable than any Chanel jacket ever would be. I would wear this with a white tee or tank and jeans for a clean and classic look that still has a bit of edge.

Lauren Merkin Name That Bag Contest & Spring Collection

Lauren Merkin has launched a Facebook contest called Name That Bag. She is giving her Facebook fans the chance to name a clutch from her upcoming Holiday 2010 Collection. Lauren Merkin asks that you think of a girl who is playful, flirtatious, sweet, and feminine and give her a name. The winners name of choice will be used to name the bag and the winner will recieve the Holiday 2010 clutch as well. I have already entered the contest...guess what I named the bag? If you want to enter go to Lauren Merkin's Facebook page.

Lauren Merkin has also recently released her Spring 2010 Collection, which is now available at boutiques, department stores, and online retailers as well as LaurenMerkin.com. I have fallen hard for her spring clutches. They are gorgeous bright colours that are perfect for adding fun and colour to your wardrobe. The shapes are classic and won't ever go out of style.

Here is the Tatum in painted blue and yellow serpent skin. I think the colours are beautiful and I would love to carry this for a night out with my friends or to dinner with my boyfriend.

Here is the Lucy in green stingray skin with rainbow zipper trim. The rainbow zipper trim made my heart skip a beat.

Here is the Ava in black textured snakeskin. This is a great classic piece to add to your collection and the zipper trim adds some fun to the classic look.

Here is the Allie in pink stingray skin with rainbow zipper trim. I love the hot pink which I think is perfectly complimented by rainbow zipper trim. Pair this with a little black dress and you are good to go!

Here is the Cecilia in black textured snakeskin. This is my favourites of the bags. I love the braided strap, which gives the bag a great boho feel. I also love the look of the textured snakeskin and I think that the shape makes the Cecilia a great functional cross body.

Here is the Bella Tote in a glossy black. This is quite a classic and functional shape that can be used as an everyday bag. I think the studs give it a bit of edge and add a bit more fun to the bag.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Zip-Pull Studs

For the first time I am going to write about something I don't like. I always write about things that I like or love so I figure it is time. When I saw these studs on net-a-porter.com I was a bit shocked. I love Marc Jacobs. I carry a wallet that I love dearly with these same zipper pulls. When I first bought the wallet I remember thinking how much I liked them. But, as an earring?I think no!

What do you think of these Marc by Marc Jacobs earrings?

BB Dakota Wade Jacket

Jackets have become an essential part of my wardrobe. I am a free-lance ESL teacher and I travel to peoples homes to teach them. This means that my "work" attire can be casual, so I usually wear jeans. I still want to look somewhat put together so I usually add a blazer or jacket to my looks. I'm loving this jacket from BB Dakota. It would be a great versatile addition to my closet. I also love that it is grey which is a nice departure from black.

Girl of the Blogosphere: Dominika

Name: Dominika
City: Cork, Ireland
Occupation: High-school student

Who is your fashion inspiration?
Alexa Chung, Taylor Momsen, Rumi Neely and Jane Aldridge.

What is your favourite place to shop?
Charity shops, eBay, TopShop and H&M.

What is your current favourite fashion trend?
Military clothes and nude shades.

What is the current trend you dislike the most?
See-through clothes, I really don't like it when you can see other people's lingerie.

Why did you start your blog?
I've been following fashion blogs for a very long time so I thought why not create a fashion blog of my own?!

How would you describe your style?
I think that my style is changing from time to time but I have to say that I'm never tired of clothes in Rock 'n' Roll style.

What is one thing you are dying to buy this spring?
Military jackets and maybe something in nude or beige.

What is the most expensive thing you have bought?
A black sequined biker jacket from Zara and my new Bershka shoes. I payed 50 euros for each item which still is not that much, I don't really like to spend a lot of money on clothes.

What is the least expensive thing you have bought?
I really don't know! I have a lot of clothes from charity shops but there is one item in my wardrobe that was actually really cheap but is worth a lot of money - my 90's Moschino jacket, I bought it on eBay and payed only 30 euros for it!

What is your favourite vacation destination?
To be honest, I've never really been anywhere, although, this year my parents and I are planning a trip across Europe, I'm so excited!

Diane Von Furstenberg Meggy Skirt & Sunshine Award

So, spring is here and summer is around the corner. I think we are all thinking about those hot summer days and warm summer night. More specifically I am thinking about what I will wear! I love this DVF skirt. It is perfect for spring and summer. I also think that it is perfectly quirky. The mix of prints is fantastic and I love that the colour palette is muted with a pop of orange. I would wear this with a tank and flip flops or dress it up with heels and a blazer.

Obviously this isn't a new bag. I am sure we have all seen it a million times on blogs but I am currently obsessed with this bag so I decided to do a post on it. I love this bag so much I would take it in pretty much any colour although my favourites are this grey with the silver studs and the original black with brass studs. There is just something about this totally simplistic duffel that makes me swoon. And when you thought it couldn't get any better, you see the studs. If only the bag gods could leave this on my doorstep, I would be the happiest girl around. Until I found a new bag to obsess over.

Kara by Kara Ross 14 Karat Gold-Plated Hermatite Ring

I love statement pieces and this Kara by Kara Ross ring is AMAZING. I'm usually not a huge fan of gold jewelry but something is drawing me to this piece. I love the raw feel of the ring which makes it more special and unique than most rings I see. I also love the 3 black stones in different sizes. Everything about this ring is unique and I love it. Also, statement rings are a great way to spice up a simple look and this one is a great, unique piece to add to your collection.

Alexis Hudson Leather Bohem Handbag

Thanks to the internet I often stumble upon brands I didn't know existed. There is nothing I love more than discovering a new brand that makes pieces I love. Last week I stumbled upon the Alexis Hudson website thanks to Twitter. I love their Bohem handbag. It is a great everyday bag to add to your wardrobe. I love hobos and this one is perfect in my opinion. I love the detailing in the centre of the bag. It adds interest without taking away from the simplicity of the shape and leather. Check out the Alexis Hudson website for a video that shows you the inside of the bag, which I think is an ingenious aspect to the website. I always wonder what the inside looks like but you can never tell through photos.

Girl of the Blogosphere: Khatu

Name: Khatu
City: Boston
Occupation: Pencil Pusher/ Trophy Girlfriend - kidding!

Who is your fashion inspiration?
Paris Hilton, joking of course. The subjects from The Sartorialist's blog. As stated by Scott, his subjects "may not be fashionable but they are stylish." The classic look never goes out of style. When I grow older, I want to dress like them.

What is your favourite place to shop?
Soho, NYC. Shopping in NYC is a whole different experience. I like the diversity and accessibility of Soho. You have shops like Opening Ceremony and Top Shop right around the corner from GUess and Bloomingdales. There's always something for everyone. However, as of lately I've been trying to stay away from the mass-produced market, the mall.

What is your current favourite fashion trend?
Lace, strong shoulders and military. I am probably a tad bit behind on the stronger shoulder look but if Balmain is still making it, then I still want it.

What is the current trend you dislike the most?
CLOGS. What is there to like, they are just plain ugly, period.

Why did you start your blog?
To leave comments and to keep track of blogs I love, but mostly out of boredom. I had signed up for a blogger account months before I worked up the courage to start my own.

How would you describe your style?
Simple and classic. I admire bloggers like Fashion Toast, The Glamouria, Nini's Style, Life-in-Travel, The Haute Pursuit etc., however, it's simply not feasible for me to dress like them; my corporate job is the death of me. I get questions like "What do you do that you have to dress up for?" My answer is "My job is boring, doesn't mean my wardrobe has to be as well." Right? I try to buy pieces I can wear to and outside of work, more bang for the buck.

What is one thing you are dying to buy this spring?
A burberry trench coat. Hopefully it'll go on sale soon. Although I do like nice things, I'm still a sensible shopper. I shop within my limits because credit card bills are never fun.

What is the most expensive thing you have bought?
Shoes that I simply can't afford. What is it with women and shoes?

What is the least expensive thing you have bought?
Mmmh...a pair of shoes from EBay for $12

What is your favourite vacation destination?
Hawaii, but probably because I haven't been to Paris yet.

Marina Makaron Moscow: Goth Bast Flower

Ever since I received my first Marina Makaron Moscow scarf last month I have been a little bit obsessed with it. My birthday is ONLY 5 months away and I already know exactly what I'm asking for. A Marina Makaron Moscow scarf of course. I am sure you are rolling your eyes. Who plans 5 months in advance? Me! Marina's scarves are totally luxurious and will add a great pop of colour and fun to your wardrobe. The one on top of my wish list changes almost daily but today I am loving Goth Bast Flower. I love the red and green set against the black and the whimsical print. It is guaranteed to add a bit of fun to your day.
