House of Harlow 1960 Enameled Tribal Wrap Ring

As you can see by recent posts here on the blog I am OBSESSED with House of Harlow jewelry. ShopBop.com recently added new stock to their website and I added a bunch of new items to my wish list. This ring is one of them. I love the bright turquoise and the tribal influence. This ring would be perfect to add some fun to a casual outfit. I love that most of House of Harlow pieces are not too dressy so you can wear them on an everyday basis and you can still wear them at night when you want to dress up.

Naven Party Bubble Silk Mini Dress in Vegas Blue

I love the bright blue of this Naven dress. A dress like this would be perfect for an upcoming holiday party or a night out on the town that requires something a little fancier. The silhouette is interesting and sexy, just look at the back! I think it was a smart idea to use a sold colour and no print to keep it simple. A print would have looked too fussy. Add a great pair of heels and you are good to go for the evening.

House of Harlow 1960 Circle Pendant Necklace

I saw this House of Harlow 1960 necklace on ShopBop.com and I immediately fell in love. I'm not big on dainty jewelry so this kind of necklace is right up my ally. I love the mix of gold, black and turquoise. Turquoise is one of my favourite colours so my eye was drawn to this as soon as I saw it. I would wear a necklace like this with all white or all black so that it can stand out.

Blog: Bravegrrl

Who is your fashion inspiration?
It isn't generally a who... everything inspires me, nature, art, movies... but if I had to pick actual people it would be David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Jane Birkin and Lisa Bonet.

What is your favourite place to shop?
Online for sure! I always find great deals on Ebay and unique pieces on Etsy. If we are talking actual shops Goodwill is probably the store I frequent the most. I don't often shop at new stores (with the exception of a trip to H&M and Forever 21 once every couple months) although in the last couple weeks I bought a great fuzzy cardi at Zara and am definitely planning on going back for a few other items that I saw and loved. The quality is amazing for the price. And they are pretty refreshing as opposed to trendy, I love those classic pieces that you know you will wear for years.

What is your current favourite fashion trend?
Long dresses/skirts and capes! I'm also loving the monochrome looks.. but I've always loved that.

What is the current trend you dislike the most?
To be totally honest, I don't really pay attention to things I don't like. If i had to say something it would be overly/unnaturally distressed jeans (unless it got that way because of use.. and yes, you can tell the difference). I'm not really a fan of Ed Hardy either, haha!

Why did you start your blog?
For fun of course!

How would you describe your style?
Eclectic, eccentric and unruly! But that might change tomorrow. I wear what I like and I like a lot! My favorite era as far as fashion goes is definitely the 70's so I am a huge fan of anything bohemian and outlandish. I also love a simple jeans, boots and tee look... there is nothing sexier than a woman in a plain tank and jeans right?

What is one thing you are dying to buy this fall?
A cape...and another pair of boots of course!

What is the most expensive thing you have bought?
Definitely shoes. I have a weakness for amazing shoes. I'm not sure which pair were the most expensive though. I am lucky enough to have the time to scour Ebay for deals. I bought most of my designer shoes there.

What is the least expensive thing you have bought?
So many many things at thriftstores!

What is one thing that you regret buying?
Nothing really comes to mind right now... the only time I regret buying something is when I have to buy something because i don't have the proper attire for the event and that hasn't happened in awhile.. or maybe I just don't care to be proper anymore???

If you could meet one person from the fashion industry/ a fashion icon who would it be?
I'm not so much into the "industry". I mean I am, but what I really enjoy is the art of wearing a combination of things that makes you more you. That tells the world who you are. That being said, I think I'd have to say Karl Lagerfeld because well... he seems kooky and I like kooky peeps.

Madewell Two Tone Cheetah Scarf

My sister and I are twins and although we don't always love all the same things we have similar style. We like to exchange emails that contain links to items we want. Yesterday she sent me a message with a link to this Madewell scarf. I am a bit obsessed with leopard print at the moment and I love this scarf because it is not natural leopard print. It is bright and vivid and would add a lot of fun to my looks this fall. I want it!

I may or may not have just clicked "Place Order" on ShopBop.com. I recently won a $100 gift card in a blog giveaway so I won't feel too guilty about it.

Elizabeth & James Sequined Sweatshirt

This sweatshirt is WAY overpriced. Almost $450 for a sweatshirt is kind of ridiculous but that doesn't mean I don't like it. I just can't buy it. I love this style of sweatshirt. They are usually super comfy and casual but rhis one is definitely not meant to be worn with sweatpants. I would pair it with jeans for a dinner with friends.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Pary Girl New Year Ring

Yesterday I was browsing ShopBop.com looking for something to buy. I will do a post on what I bought once the package is in my hands but I wanted to show you all this Marc by Marc Jacobs ring. Everyone already knows my love for statement pieces and this ring is super fun. I would wear something like this with a black sweater dress and booties or pumps for a night out.

Who is your fashion inspiration?
Other bloggers and people I see hopping around town

What is your favourite place to shop?
Mostly vintage and a combination of H&M, Forever 21, Zara etc. I think I go to those stores because I feel most comfortable there-- because I know I'm not burning a hole through my wallet haha.

What is your current favourite fashion trend?
The army green/olive parka jackets. I love how they pull a look together and make it seem so effortless.

What is the current trend you dislike the most?
I'm not sure if it's still 'curren't but clogs were just not my thing.

Why did you start your blog?
I think because I was really bored and wanted to express myself on a different platform. I think that's why my posts are usually not really fashion related but more about my current state of being, which is quite random at times.

How would you describe your style?
Ohh I can never answer this! I think I definitely put comfort first. I rarely ever wear heels etc. because it makes me feel uncomfortable. I play it safe a lot while I was in high school but this summer I definitely feel I've been taking more 'risks'.

What is one thing you are dying to buy this fall?
The perfect leather jacket, with the perfect fit, the perfect texture and the perfect shoulder details...

What is the most expensive thing you have bought?
This bag which was made from recycled trucks or something. It's by Freitag. It's more like industrial than feminine. I bought it in Germany.

What is the least expensive thing you have bought?
The things I get for free! I get stuff from friends and my mom's friends, because they all know I like 'weird vintage' stuff.

What is one thing that you regret buying?
So many things... It's rather pathetic. That's why I have a shop so I can get rid of some of my purchases that I never wear.

If you could meet one person from the fashion industry/ a fashion icon who would it be?
Rachel Zoe. Because she seems like such a funny person to be around.

What is your favourite vacation destination?
Italy. Berlin. Amsterdam! Or any National Park...

Asos Vila Dress With Embellished Detail

I'm always on the lookout for simple dresses that are great for nights out or parties. This dress is perfect. The silhouette is simple but the embellished shoulder detail gives the dress a bit of interest. Sometimes embellishment details can be a bit overbearing but this one is done just right.

Asos Chunky Waterfall Wrap Cardigan

With cooler weather approaching I think we all have fall clothes on our minds. I was browsing Asos.com when I came across this wrap cardigan. I think it is perfect for layering with tanks and tees and transitioning into fall weather. I love the way it has been styled in the first photo over a white tee and skinny jeans. It is a simple, comfortable and stylish look.

Alexis Hudson Ada Tote

I love this Alexis Hudson bag from the Fall 2010 collection. The leather covered turn lock is unique and a change from the standard rectangular turn locks we normally see. The two front pockets are visually appealing and would be handy for storing a cell phone. I hate digging around in my bags for my phone. The leather looks soft and I am a big fan of the grainy leather.

Check out this youtube video to get a better look at the bag!

Reed Krakoff Boxer II

Here is another Reed Krakoff bag that I am loving. Once again it is totally out of my price range but my inability to buy things doesn't stop me from browsing. I love this bag. The shape is somewhat reminiscent of the Hermes Birkin, which is bag I adore. I tend to always lean towards black when I am looking at everyday bags, versatility is key. If you can afford it this would be a great bag for fall.

Girl of the Blogosphere: Silvia S.

Name: Silvia Siantar
City: Singapore
Occupation: University student

Who is your fashion inspiration?
None other than Mary-Kate and Ashley, a little Alexa Chung, models off duty (Lily Donaldson, Jessica Stam, Anja Rubik), oh and lots of Serena van der Woodsen from Gossip Girl.

What is your favourite place to shop?
I can always find something to buy whenever I go to Zara and Mango. For shoes, I go to On Pedder which is a multibrand upscale shoe store at takashimaya. I can spend hours trying on shoes, of course because my SA is very helpful and patient. Besides, I like to bring my friends to shop there.

What is your current favourite fashion trend?
I like androgynous style, like YSL fall 2010 showcasing tailored pants and blazers. I also love that skyscapper heels are back.

What is the current trend you dislike the most?
I never understand unfinished stitching, also the theatrical look from Miu Miu, their latest collar that looks like a pillow. As for their shoes, I admire. Miuccia is so amazing when it comes to shoes. However, I think she focuses more on Prada. I always have this is mind, that Prada is more perfectly done than Miu Miu.

Why did you start your blog?
I started my blog two months ago. That is when I don't really have regular posts. Just a startup to get familiar with settings and layouts and everything because I wasn't really tech-savvy.

How would you describe your style?
I wanted to appear as much as effortlessly chic as possible, even of course I put a little effort in it. I want everything to be natural, never overdone. I tend to wear statement pieces together with basic apparels. I don't wear a lot of pinks, ribbons, and too-feminine items. I also love to wear beautiful pairs of shoes. Shoes eventhough are placed at the bottom, means a lot to me.

What is one thing you are dying to buy this fall?
Christian Louboutin booties. Oh and one more, please.. I can't not mention the PS1.

What is the most expensive thing you have bought?
Let me see, designer watches I guess.

What is the least expensive thing you have bought?
A 10 dollar denim vest.

What is one thing that you regret buying?
Fendi logo satchels.

If you could meet one person from the fashion industry/ a fashion icon who would it be?
Anna dello Russo

What is your favourite vacation destination?
Abu Dhabi! Remember Carrie Bradshaw and her 3 friends? LOL

Reed Krakoff 510 Tote II

Everyone knows I am obsessed with bags and I am always on the look out for something I haven't seen before. I have never heard of Reed Krakoff but his bags are gorgeous. Everything in his collection looks luxurious and they are priced accordingly. I definitely can't afford a bag like this right now but that doesn't stop me from looking. I love the simplicity of this tote and it would make a perfect everyday bag.

Lucia Bella Athena Silver Headband

I have had bangs for almost two years and I made the decision recently to grow them out. This means that I have some seriously awkward hair right now and I am in desperate need of some cute hair accessories. I happened upon this head-band on a blog and now I can't remember which one because I didn't save the link but I did keep the Etsy page open. This head-band is beautiful and I am dying to own it. It would make doing my hair a lot easier and it would be perfect for nights out.

Zara Terez 108th Street Clutch

I am a sucker for clutches even though I don't use them very often and this Zara Terez clutch is calling my name. I love the original take on a classic envelope clutch. I spend a lot of time looking at bags online and it is always nice to see something a little bit different. The design is interesting but still classic and chic. A bag like this would work for almost any dressy occasion.

Shopping Tales: Zara Leopard Print Cross Body Bag

My Aunt took me out for lunch and shopping for my birthday. We spent a long time browsing the floors of Zara. I didn't see anything I was dying to have so we decided to leave and continue browsing other stores.

As I was about to walk out the door I spotted a mannequin with this bag on her shoulder. I took it off the mannequin and tried it on in front of the mirror and it was pretty much love at first sight. Perfectly on-trend for fall. Thank-you Tia Maria!

Girl of the Blogosphere: Navreet

Name: Navreet
City: Lørenskog, Norway
Occupation: Fashion Blogger

Who is your fashion inspiration?
I am pretty much inspired by everything around me. People I see on the street, my friends, fashion lookbooks and the blogs I read.

What is your favourite place to shop?
In Norway my favorite store is Gina Tricot (www.ginatricot.com), but I love shopping in different countries. I have traveled my whole life, and shopping is always a big part of the travelling experience. My favorite place to shop was actually in Callifornia. America has the most amazing clothes at a low price!

What is your current favourite fashion trend?
I can't really choose one. I love accesories, so I am really into trends like the turband and the over-the-knee socks. I also love the military look.

What is the current trend you dislike the most?
I am not really into the whole 50's granny-chic look. I know many people love the fashion on Mad Men, but I like being modern and I can't even think of wearing those old cream-coloured dresses.

Why did you start your blog?
I started my blog because I wanted an outlet for my creativity. I have always love fashion and I wanted to share my style with the world. I actually started out with a fashion and beauty advice blog, but then I also wanted to share my personal style. So then I started my outfit blog.

How would you describe your style?
I would say that I have a casual, yet put-together look with a hint of sexy and lots of accesories. Not too dressed-up, yet nowhere near dressed-down :)

What is one thing you are dying to buy this fall?
A beige, trendy trenchcoat that I can use for years to come in both the fall and the winter.

What is the most expensive thing you have bought?
Hmm... I have absolutely no idea. I don't really keep track of how much things cost. But I bought a pretty expensive pair of jeans a few weeks ago (probably not the most expensive thing)

What is the least expensive thing you have bought?
Haha. I was actually at the mall with my friend looking at DVDs, and I saw this huge sale in a store. I came out buying a mini-skirt for 20 kroner (3 dollars)!! You can barely buy a pen at that price in Norway.

What is one thing that you regret buying?
A pair of lime green pants that I wore once and a pair of really expensive baggy boyfriend jeans that I also wore once. Waste of money...

If you could meet one person from the fashion industry/ a fashion icon who would it be?
There are so many! But I would probably choose Olivia Palermo. I love how she oozes confidence. She puts together the most amazing outfits and knows exactly how to accesorize them!

What is your favourite vacation destination?
Barcelona. Everything there is so beautiful. You get inspired everywhere you go. The people, the architecture and the nature - magnificent. Plus Barcelona has the cutest little boutiques where you can get all kinds of stuff. I love it there.

Vanessa Mooney Clear Quartz Wire Wrap Ring

How cool is this ring?! It kind of looks like you could injure someone with it but I think it adds to the appeal. If you have been reading for a while you know I love big statement rings and this ring is most definitely a show stopper. When I wear big statement pieces I like to keep my clothes simple. So, if you are wearing a ring like this make sure you aren't overdoing it with your clothes and the rest of the accessories. Simplicity is key.
