Name: Shea
City: Shawnee, KS (near Kansas City)
Occupation: substitute teacher (but I'm looking for a French teaching job)
Who is your fashion inspiration?
Primarily, I get inspired from other bloggers. I love seeing how real women across the world interpret trends and express their creativity through clothing. "Blog reading time" is one of the best parts of my day!
What is one thing you always carry in your bag?
I always have a tube of Natural Ice chapstick. My lips can't live without it!
What is your current favourite fashion trend?
I'm really excited about all the 70's-inspired trends for spring: flare-leg jeans, wood platforms, and pretty floral prints.
What is the current trend you dislike the most?
This isn't really a new trend, but I'm not a big fan of fur (real or faux). I've seen other women pull it off beautifully, but I don't really like it on me.
Why did you start your blog?
I started out just reading fashion and personal style blogs, and it wasn't long before I wanted to get involved. I've always enjoyed documenting my outfits and what I cook-so it seemed only logical to do it in a blog. I wasn't sure whether or not I would keep it up at first, but now I can't imagine my life without blogging!
Who takes your photos for you/ How do you take your photos?
My husband Aaron takes my pictures with my little Canon point and shoot. Neither of us is very knowledgeable when it comes to photography, so we're just learning as we go!
How would you describe your style?
I would say that my style is constantly evolving, but right now I'd describe it as classic and feminine. I love bright colours and girly details, such as bows and ruffles. However, I don't like to be overly girly from head to tow. If I have a lot of ruffles on, I might contrast them with a structured blazer or a badass pair of shoes.
What is one thing you are dying to buy this spring?
Some wood-soled platform shoes. I think they'll go with everything. plus I could even wear them right now with tights. Hmm, why haven't I bought those yet?
Are you a shoes or bags kind of girl?
Oh, shoes for sure! I tend to carry the same bag around until it's falling apart. I'm really picky about the bags I buy (even though I don't spend a lot of money) because I know it will be around for a while! But I hoard shoes like a fiend. I'd say buying a new (or used!) pair of shoes is right up there with eating a bowl of ice cream. And if you know how much I love ice cream, you'll get an idea of how I feel about shoes.
What is one thing that you regret buying?
Cheap tights! I keep getting frustrated when my tights rip after their first or second wear, but honestly what can I expect when I only spend a few bucks. Next year I vow to choose quality over quantity!
If you could meet one person from the fashion industry/ a fashion icon who would it be?
You know, it would just make my whole year to go to a blogger meet-up outside of Kansas or Missouri. I know that's cheating because it's many people, not just one person, but I feel like bloggers have a much bigger impact in my life than any famous designer or editor. Hopefully when I have a better (aka more lucrative) job I will be able to do that!
What is your favourite vacation destination?
I spent a month in Paris several years ago, and there's not a day that goes by that I don't want to go back to France. And while I'm over there I'd like to push the limits on just how much I can eat in Italy!
What is one totally random fact you want others to know about you?
I love school! After I spend a few years teaching, I would love to go back to school to finish my French Master's degree, and maybe go on from there. Although I'm also interested in pursuing a Library Science Master's, so I might do that instead. I guess the random fact should really be that I'm the most indecisive person on the planet.

She's got such cute style - it has a nice little Parisan flare to it (which is, of course, totally appropriate for a French teacher)!
