I've only became a serious perfume user within the last 2 years or so. When I was in high school I wore Clinique Happy for a while and then I just stopped using perfume all together. It all started while I was living in South Korea. I was lucky enough to have lots of vacation and and the ability to travel. This meant that I spent a lot of time browsing the Duty Free shops at Incheon International Airport. This lead to my first perfume purchase in years.
Marc Jacobs Daisy
I bought Daisy while I was on vacation in Malaysia. I knew that I wanted to buy it so I made sure that I had a enough money leftover in my vacation budget to buy it in the Duty Free shop in Kuala Lumpur. I had spent the week on a gorgeous beach on Pulau Perhentian with two great friends. It is a tiny island that has no town, no car, no roads, just beach and jungle. If you are every in Malaysia you should go there!
Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet
While I was living in Korea one of my favourite things to do was spend an hour or two before work browsing the Dong-A and Lotte Department stores in my neighbourhood. This is where I fell in love with Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet. I had intended to wait until I was home to buy this but thankfully I did a google search because it turns out Blooming Bouquet is only available in Asia. Apparently Miss Dior Cherie didn't do very well in the Asian market so Dior remade the scent to appeal to an Asian audience. I personally think that the Blooming Bouquet version of Miss Dior Cherie is much better than the original.
This Bvlgari scent was given to me as a 23rd Birthday present by my co-workers during my first year of living in Korea. I have no idea what it is called so if you know leave a comment below :)
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle
I first fell in love with Coco Mademoiselle in a Lotte Department Store in Daegu, South Korea. I was helping my friend Hye Min buy Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) gifts for her in-laws and I decided to spray myself with it. I made myself wait to buy it because I already had 3 relatively new perfumes at that point. I ended up buying it in Duty Free at the Toronto Airport while I was moving to Bogota, Colombia.
Flora by Gucci
I can't remember where I first smelled Flora but I got it as a Christmas gift from my ex-boyfriend while we were living in Colombia.
That's quite the collection! I'm hooked on Thierry Mugler's Angel...I love that stuff!

I love Angel by Thierry Mugler, it's my favorite. I also love their new fragrance Alien, it's a little lighter than Angel.
ReplyDeleteAnother vote for Angel, one of my faves :)
ReplyDeleteoh man! you are so lucky. i wish i had all those perfumes.
ReplyDeletemy fav is juicy!

ReplyDeleteI love Miss Dior too :) I've had so many perfumes, but my favorites are the TommyGirlOK 10 and the Calvin Klein One Summer original.
ReplyDeletefun post! I also wore Clinique Happy in high school :) I currently love Chance by Chanel and Miss Dior Cherie.

Totally into Balenciaga at the moment.

ReplyDeleteOooh, I love MJ Daisy! :)

I'm a die hard Bulgari girl-I've been wearing Eau de The Verte since high school, and it's the only scent I've bought since (although I used to love YSL Babydoll). The perfume you couldn't name is actually Omnia-just lovely!
ReplyDeleteoh, this is once again great - i heart you're blog.
ReplyDeletemaybe you'll pass by and follow too?
xoxo.
Great perfume collection!! :-)

They're all great choices! And duty free shops are the best! I don't really have a preference when it comes to perfume though..basically, if anything smells good, I'll take it! :-). Right now, I'm using the Ginger perfume from Origins. xoxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI'm a Coco Mademoiselle girl too! :)

I have Flora, too, and I love it. It's definitely my spring/summertime scent. I bought Balenciaga to wear during the fall/winter, and now I've found my tastes veering toward the spicier scents. Very strange - I was always such a sweet, floral kind of girl until now.
ReplyDeletecoincidentally i did a post on perfumes today, too. but mine is mean. yours is nice! lol
ReplyDeleteYour perfume collection is impressive! I like perfume, but I always forget to put it on. My favorite, when I do remember, is Chance by Chanel.
ReplyDeleteColor me jealous of your collection! It's been like four years since I've bought myself a bottle. That is pitiful! haha
ReplyDeleteI can't wear perfumes as I'm allergic. :( But I've had Sunflowers by Elizabeth Arden for awhile now, and if I use it sparingly, like twice a year, I won't get an allergic reaction. :)
ReplyDeleteSo lovely collection;)
ReplyDeleteI love miss Dior, classic , femenine, a perfum forever.
ReplyDeleteI did a blog a few weeks ago about searching for a new perfume, and 3 of the 5 you listed were the most suggested. You clearly have good taste. :) (I went with daisy btw.)
ReplyDeleteLove the Miss Dior as well :) I usually like fresh, clean scents - my favorites are the Tommy Girl OK10 and the Calvin Klein One Summer original :)
ReplyDeletegreat collection! i like anything chanel. I'm using "chance" right now...
ReplyDeleteWelp I know one thing I'm picking up while in South Korea this summer! And please tell me what job you had that allows you to go to South Korea and Colombia and have lots of vacation time (I so want it!).
ReplyDeleteI'm also a perfume whore. I have Daisy, Vera Wang Princess, Lemon Carthusia, and a body spray from VS. And I still want Miss Dior Cherie, but if the blooming bouquet one is better...I might just have to wait to get that!
i love daisy so much i haven't got that same you have. mine is beige or so. and my other favorite is clean warm cotton..
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great weekend
x
I used to be a big fan of perfumes till I got over them suddenly. CK perfumes remain my faves and Angel by Mugler is a good one too
ReplyDeleteMarc Jacobs daisy is my absolute favourite :)
ReplyDeleteYou have quite the collection! I own no expensive perfumes. I still use my bottle of Dream from the gap that i got in middle school.
ReplyDeleteChic on the Cheap
love your perfume collection it's impressive! my fave is daisy by marc jacobs!

I also totally love trying out lots of perfumes in the airport (who doesn't?) and there are some I really like, but since I bought a whole set of different Byredo perfumes (which I love, especially Pulp) I've got enough for the next few years to come.
ReplyDeleteDaisy is a really lovely, light smell, too.
Oh god, I love perfumes so much. I could spend hours deciding on the perfect one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic collection!
