Note: this post has NOTHING to do with fashion and EVERYTHING to do with cupcakes.
I was browsing Bakerella.com when I came across this recipe for Cookies & Cream Cupcakes and I knew I HAD to bake them. I highly recommend heading over to Bakerella.com to get the recipe.
Whisking together wet and dry ingredients. I may have over beat the batter a little bit but they still tasted delicious!
Those are entire Oreo's in the bottom of the tins. Bakerella's floated to the top while baking but mine stayed put at the bottom and turned out like a crust, which I really liked.
Ready for the oven
I used a butter cream icing (or frosting, depending on where you are from) instead of the shortening that Bakerella suggested. I just substituted one cup of butter for the one cup of shortening in her recipe. It was delicious
Mine doesn't look quite as pretty. I just slapped the icing (or frosting) on with a knife and then dunked the cupcake into a bowl filled with crumbled Oreos.
It was delicious! I will definitely be making these again.
