An NYC Weekend

Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt from Forty Carrots in Bloomingdales. This was a small. You don't want to know what the large looked like.

Bought myself some rain boots to get ready for Hurricane Irene

Walking along the West River. Saw people setting up sand bags in front of doorways in anticipation of the storm.

Cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery. I may or may not have gotten icing stuck in my hair because I was too impatient and HAD to eat one right away.

A sign in a liquor store window

A multigrain bagel and jalapeno cream cheese. Delicious!

Passed time playing Phase 10 because we couldn't go anywhere

The view from the roof of my sisters Brooklyn apartment building this morning around 10am. I think we slept through the worst of the storm because when we woke up it was barely raining and the wind didn't seem crazy at all. We had stocked up on 9 gallons of water, filled the bathtub and bought flashlights and batteries. Her boyfriend even bought a camping stove. I guess we were pretty lucky that we didn't need to use any of it and I'm sure if we weren't prepared the power would have gone out.

Today is my birthday and my sisters birthday (we are twins) so lets hope that everything is back to normal so we can celebrate!
