ModCloth Blueberry Blintz Bliss Dress

Last night when I should have been sleeping I was window shopping on ModCloth.com and came across this dress. I love the sheer shoulder/neckline detailing and I think the pleats are very pretty and feminine. It is also a little bit reminiscent of the Zara dress Kate Middleton wore the day after the royal wedding. I would probably wear it with nude pumps for a dressy night out.

What do you think?

You can buy it through ModCloth.com for $74.99

OPI Dating A Royal Nail Polish

This is another colour that my friend Lauren sent me. I think by now blue colours have overtaken my polish collection and this is a great royal blue. The colour does look different in real life compared to this photo, it is a bit darker than this in person. I also kind of love the name ;)

Girl of the Blogosphere: Bonnie

Name: Bonnie
City: St. Louis, Missouri, USA
Occupation: Graduate Student/Wannabe Professional Blogger/Wannabe Spice Girl
Blog:

Who is your fashion inspiration?
My fashion inspiration comes from celebrities, my blogger friends, random fashion pictures -- There really is no one way that I am inspired. I observe all of this, and then I put my own twist on it and do my own thing.

What is one thing you always carry in your bag?
I always have my iPhone with me. I always have at least 20 kinds of lip gloss (I’m not joking). After getting caught in a rain storm and having my white T-shirt turn see-through so everyone could see my pink bra, I now always carry an
umbrella. My bags basically hold my entire life.

What is your current favourite fashion trend?
Everything coral is speaking to me right now. It is such a versatile color, and it looks good on everybody. There are different shades of coral, so pale people (like me) can choose a shade that doesn’t wash them out, and darker skinned people can rock the lighter shades that show off their gorgeous skin tones.

What is the current trend you dislike the most?
I am not sure that these are actually trending, but I have seen jelly sandals way too much lately. Even if they were expensive, they look cheap.

Why did you start your blog?
I started my blog because I needed a break from academic writing. At that point, I was a graduate student in English, so I was constantly reading academic journal articles and writing papers. Fashion has always been my big passion, so blogging was a way for me to combine my two interests - writing and fashion - in one creative outlet. It was my fiance’s idea, actually.

Who takes your photos for you/ How do your take your photos?
Mr. A, my fiance, takes almost all of my pictures, and he has gotten really, really good at it. I think he even likes it a little bit.

How would you describe your style?
My style is a little bit of everything. For the most part, I am very classic. Even though I report on the trends, I don’t necessarily follow the trends. Since I tend to purchase expensive items, I buy pieces that are stylish now and will be stylish in twenty years. Usually, whatever I wear has a bit of edge to it. However, I can also be a bit boho, a bit hippie-chic, ultra girly, ultra punk … I like to keep people guessing.

What is one thing you are dying to buy this summer?
I need more shorts. That is a totally simple answer, but I really do.

Are you a shoes or bags kind of girl?
Both. The answer is always both. I cleaned out my closet over the weekend, and I had shoe boxes that were literally stacked from the floor to the ceiling. I think I have over 50 pairs of shoes, and none of them are the cheap kinds of
shoes. The same goes for the handbags.

What is one thing that you regret buying?
I admit that I bought a pair of turquoise jelly heels when I was a senior in high school - 6 years ago. That should tell you that they are not cool anymore.

If you could meet one person from the fashion industry/ a fashion icon who would it be?
My biggest fashion girl crush has to be Victoria Beckham. I would have that woman’s babies.

What is your favourite vacation destination?
If I ever went on vacation, I could tell you. My in-laws have a condo in the Ozarks, which is a beachy vacation place in Missouri, so we go there once every summer.

What is one totally random fact you want others to know about you?
I have absolutely no shame. I will do anything. I will talk about anything. I
will say anything. The lack of shame leads to an element of unpredictability
that people seem to enjoy -- or fear. Either one.

Towne & Reese Review and Giveaway

Towne & Reese is a jewellery line that has been popping up on blogs lately and ever since I first laid eyes on their pieces I was in love. They very kindly offered to send me over a piece to review and I received the bangle below. Turquoise is one of my favourite colours so I was excited to add this to my collection of bracelets. The bangle is quite light weight and surprisingly small. Usually bangles are WAY too big for me but this one is actually the perfect size. I don't HAVE to push it up my arm if I don't want to (although I generally prefer to wear bangles this way).

Please ignore my apparent farmers tan. I swear I don't look like that in real life. It's the light (i think)
