Occupation: Aspiring law student
Who is your fashion inspiration?
I'm a bit fickle about that -- right now I'd say Freja Beha Erichsen, fashion blogger Lulu from luluandyourmom, and my always well-dressed group of girlfriends.
What is one thing you always carry in your bag?
2 or 3 tubes of chapstick. I'm always losing them!
What is your current favourite fashion trend?
I kind of love everything in red or berry right now, and i love that the deeper, more vibrant version of the classic red lip has returned for fall.
What is the current trend you dislike the most?
Wide-leg pants!! They're still around! I mostly can't stand them because I look ridiculous in them, hah.
Why did you start your blog?
To pull myself out of a sartorial rut, you could say. As I've been studying for grad school entrance exams, I've started to live in just sweatshirts and shorts and I figure if I've got a blog to take photos for, maybe I'll be more motivated to dress myself better on the daily.
Who takes your photos for you/ How do your take your photos?
One of my girlfriends, Sarah Kimbrough, and recently my budding photographer friend Stephen Chou has been using me in his photos to pad his portfolio as well.
How would you describe your style?
Capricious, fickle, comfortable. Slouchy. Lazy. I just like to look put-together with the least amount of effort possible.
What is one thing you are dying to buy this fall?
If you could meet one person from the fashion industry/ a fashion icon who would it be?
I'm the fraudulent fashion blogger who doesn't reeeeally keep up with the industry itself. Is that treasonous to say? Haha, but I guess off the top of my head, I'd say Alexander Wang because he's been inventing and re-inventing this lazy model chic look in all his clothes that i just can't get over. I own a million slouchy things from his T by Alexander Wang line.
What is your favourite vacation destination?
I went to the Bahamas this past summer, and I'm in love with the islands now.
What is one totally random fact you want others to know about you?
I used to write for the school newspaper in high school, and I once wrote this really scathing review of Brooke Hogan's (that's right, Hulk Hogan's daughter) premiere musical venture, which I recently rediscovered in a trunk of old things. I have to say, it was quite hilarious. For many reasons.
