Cottage Weekend

Back in May my friend Vanessa invited me to Wasaga Beach for the weekend. I have never been to a cottage so I was super excited for a weekend away. It was the perfect way to spend the Victoria Day long weekend.
We explored some sand dunes and went on an impromptu hike. For some reason Vanessa thought I was wearing silk for a hike (I wasn't). Can you imagine hiking in silk?!
The evening was a little bit too cold for flip flops so I ended up borrowing shoes. They just so happened to be Crocs (thanks Vanessa! :P). Once we were all appropriately dressed we headed out for a bonfire and a night on the town. A stop at the local bar proved to be highly entertaining. We watched a very drunk 19 year old flop off the edge of a table (I'm still giggling as I type this a month after the fact), had a chat with a local truck driver and saw a scrunchie (who wears scrunchies these days?!).
And we spent a day relaxing at the beach.
So basically it was the perfect cottage weekend.
