Today was my last first day of school, ever. It is pretty exciting to know that next fall (fingers crossed) I'll be making money and using all the skills I will have learned over the course of this program. My new roommate (I MOVED!!) Vanessa made me a sign and had me stand on the stoop for a little photo shoot before I left yesterday and then I headed off for an exciting morning of Apparel Manufacturing (where I thought about the chocolate sitting on the kitchen table).

What a clever way of looking at this juncture of your life. I'm glad you're celebrating it.
In my last year of school, I was so eager to leave and start "work". It's a major transition in our lives, bringing lots of joy and a little hardship. It's a passage into adulthood and responsibility.
Looking back, if I knew then what I know now, I'd have savored my time in school more. Enjoyed what it offered. I hope you do.

This is so adorable! John had his first day of his professional studies diploma program yesterday, and I worked with my new boss for the first time, so it was quite a day!
