What better way is there to celebrate a birthday than with a grown up tea party! I helped celebrate my friend Vanessa's birthday over the weekend and it was the perfect excuse to wear my new dress (Vanessa forced me to wear it and since it was her birthday she got what she wanted).
And then it was cake time :S
I attempted to make I am Baker's heart cake and I think it was fairly successful. If I could go back in time I would make the cake white and only do the heart pink so that it was easier to see. But my cake scooping and carving skills aren't too bad!
What do you think? Can you see the heart?
Lovely photos! And that dress is super pretty! I want macroons now!

Oh my gosh. Is it sad that I'd rather copy this for my 21st rather than go out to bars? The macarons alone sold me!
ReplyDeleteAlso I LOVE the dress. I'm glad your friend forced you to wear it!!
Yayy! This sounds like so much fun...that dress looks amazing on you! :D
