I was recently sent the Demalogica Sheer Tint* with SPF 20 to test out and I was quite excited as I am always looking for new bases and I tend to prefer a sheer coverage (because I like to see my skin, you know?). I was sent the medium shade but if I had a choice I would have chosen the lightest shade as it would definitely work better with my skin tone. With that being said I was able to make the medium shade work because I am a bit more tanned now than I normally would be but I don't think I could get away with it in the winter.
Dermalogica calls this a lightly tinted moisturizer and I have to agree. If you are looking for something with coverage this is not the product for you. It reminds me a lot of Origins Vitazing in the sense that it has some colour and evens out your skin tone a bit but it does not hide or cover any imperfections. It is for days when you don't want to wear a lot of makeup or if you are having a good skin day. According to Dermalogica the Sheer Tint contains natural, light-diffusing iron oxides to provide translucent colour for radiant skin and hydrolyzed pearl amino acids, hydrating hyaluronic acid and antioxidant walnut seed extracts to help improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine dehydration lines. I haven't been using it long enough to notice a difference in my skin texture but all in all I think this is a great product for those looking for a very natural and sheer coverage. I would also say it is probably best for those with normal to dry skin.
Have you tried this before? What are your favourite sheer bases?
